At about 1950 feet in length the Oceanside Pier is the longest wooden pier on the west coast. You'll find fishing and beautiful views of the Pacific from this historic structure.
Perhaps Oceanside's most memorable landmark, the pier was first built in the late 1890's by Melchoir Pieper using lumber that had been salvaged from the wharf at Wisconsin Street after it had been destroyed in a storm. Since then the pier has been through five iterations, most recently having been rebuilt in 1987. Today the Oceanside pier is a popular attraction for both locals and visitors, offering fishing, a great view of the Pacific ocean, and a little Oceanside history.

the pier was really beautiful!! You could see so many views of the ocean and the city. It was a wonderful place to visit!
There are plenty of fire pits to light the sky & keep the fun alive at night!
Just visited for a week in March and the beaches are absolutely beautiful - my brother and I took some time to catch up on some fishing off the pier and while we may not have pulled the big ones it was still a great time. Thanks Oceanside!
