The food here is much much better than what you would expect from the price you pay, the small size of the location, and lack of advertisements. THE FOOD IS EXCELLENT. I don't know the chef but my friend is a graduate of the Culinary Institute of America (top culinary school in the country) and when I took him here, he was very impressed with his dish (Pork green curry) All of the curry dishes are good, as well as the noodle dishes (Pad Thai with shrimp or beef- excellent!) Lunch special prices are very very reasonable and come with extras.
When you choose to exsperiance cuisine from another country, people typically choose to have this taste-bud exsperiance with a franchise or expensive resturaunt. Of course with these resturaunts you will find the cheif's have created their own personal twist to the food, loosing it's integrity, but... you'll find the experiance with Thai Garden to be true to it's name. The atmosphere is quiet and comfortable and the hospitality is comparrible to that of visiting the family for a home dinner. The food is great tasting with explosive flavor and the exsperiance you were seeking to have.
