Pier View Pub is a tradition! Oceanside is a great town, but it just wouldn't seem right NOT to stop in at the Pier View. Service (I've been going there for over 6 years) is very good, the patrons are friendly. As bar experiences go, I can't imagine a better experience.

Ended Up Just Leaving. My Wife and I visited this place once. We walked in, sat down, and there we sat for about 20 minutes without anyone even acknowledging our existence. Some marines were playing rap music on the Jukebox and WOW was it loud.
Anyway, we just ended up leaving and going someplace else.

FUN Definitely a fun place to go if you don't want to deal with a any drama.,. Awesome jukebox and the hottest bartenders in Oceanside. They do a great job at keeping a beer in front of me and the environment fun.

Bubs is now Pier View Pub Or something like that. Quite frankly the new name is pretty generic. Other than that this place is actually pretty good now - its the only bar in the area with more than one pool table, they have live music from time to time and the crowd is a lot more relaxed than the Head or the Spur. I believe they still only have beer tho, so you Jager-seekers look elsewhere.

I don't know if the guy who owns this place is really named Bub, but the rest of this establishment's name is pretty accurate. Especially the dive part.
