![]() The San Luis Rey MissionIf you want to take a break from Oceanside’s beaches for awhile travel a little inland to visit the San Luis Rey Mission, a late 18th century mission which offers guided informational tours and quiet paths through the sunken gardens. The mission is still functional and offers weekend mass.

Oceanside HarborHundreds of colorful boats of all shapes and sizes bob up and down in the placid waters of the Oceanside Harbor. Like a tiny seacoast village all its own, the Oceanside Harbor features many small shops and restaurants as well as a variety of boat rentals, dinner cruises, deep sea fishing expeditions, and more. The Harbor beach also offers firepits.
