Vox Populi

This is regarding Oceanside City Council on March 21, 2007. Under items not on the agenda, an Oceanside resident recounted an horrific experience she had at a recent meeting called on city owned property. She had been meeting regularly with a group dealing with the Oceanside gang problem. At the last meeting of the group, she was denied access by councilwoman’s Sanchez’s aide, who said “she was not on the approved list by Sanchez.” This is highly irregular, especially on city owned property and a publicly announced meeting. This appears to be a violation of this resident’s first amendment rights to free assembly.

How can this happen in a free society? To listen to any person talk about how they went to a publicly scheduled meeting and be met with such Stalinistic tactics is out of this world. Esther Sanchez and her nazi behavior are a violation of the Brown Act. Every citizen in Oceanside should demand her resignation and expect nothing less than compliance with the Consitution of the United States. Any city that tolerates her actions can not protect freedom and justic for all. Sanchez is not fit for public office and should be denied re-election in November 2008.

This incident, Esther Sanchez refusing a citizen admittance to a meeting, must be investigated and brought to light for all of Oceanside to see!! Everyone needs to see what a “rotten apple” this woman really is. Jim Wood is not blameless for allowing her to run rampant during Council meetings with her feuds, tantrums, and very bad suggestions on every decision brought before the Council. She lacks class and social graces and shows this every time someone disagrees with her. Frankly, I’d like to see her off the Council before the next election!!!

By definition, “La Sanchez” is vindictive, petty, rude, nasty, contentious, abrasive, impolite, vengeful, vicious and insulting. Otherwise, she’s just evil. The best thing to do with a person like that is ignore them at every opportunity. Drives them crazy

I’m confused - is Esther for or against the Charger’s stadium deal?? If I don’t know which side she’s on how can I possibly figure out which side is right (the opposite)??

Let’s forget for one moment about what Esther Sanchez is for or is not for, what she is against or not against. Let’s look at her record and her actions as they stand. This City Councilmember is truly an abomination and definitely not fit to hold a public office of any kind. Shame on Jim Wood for allowing her to carry on like she has. What exactly is HE afraid of??
